I view each composition as a self-contained world with its own logic, structure, and internal laws. Rather than applying a single compositional language to every project, I seek to discover the unique musical identity that emerges from each work’s subject, narrative, and artistic context.
Diverse Musical Landscapes
My catalog spans film scores, chamber opera, chamber music, Chinese instrumental chamber music, solo works for Chinese instruments, and solo works for Western instruments. Across these different genres and traditions, I am interested in building distinctive sonic environments where form, timbre, gesture, and storytelling interact to create meaningful artistic experiences.
For me, composition is not simply the arrangement of sounds. It is the creation of living musical ecosystems—each with its own voice, character, and way of existing in the world.

A chamber opera for vocal ensemble, instrumental ensemble, and live electronics. Set in a speculative future shaped by artificial intelligence, the work examines emotional dependency, simulated intimacy, and the fragile boundary between human experience and artificial consciousness.

Inspired by shifting sand dunes and the philosophy of time, this work constructs an evolving sonic ecosystem where mathematical structures gradually transform into poetic images of sand, wind, and temporal memory.
Klein's Fantasy · Solo Sheng
Topology • Space • Time
A work for solo sheng inspired by the topology of the Klein bottle. Exploring a world without inside or outside, the piece unfolds through shifting perspectives, rotating spaces, and the collapse of linear time, where beginnings and endings gradually merge into a single continuous form.
